should 16 year old drive?

In "Should 16 year old drive?" Ted Gregory explains why or why not 16 year olds should drive. The insurance institute for highway safety researches said that they shouldnt drive at age 16 and they pointed out statistics to prove the position about raising the driving age. Linnea Greci that is 15 and goes to Hinsdale Central High School said, "I dont think it matters what age you are, as long as you have the practice and experience." Illinois enacted teen drivings reforms. It includes " double the number of adult-surpervised hours required behind the wheel to get a driver's lincense." Experts say that teens brains are at a vulnerable point in development. 15 and 16 year olds have their logic reason of an adult. But their social and their emotional development stays immature. Brent Johnston, a driving teacher at Hinsdale says, "I think Illinois has gone the proper way- Reward the kids who do a nice job and penalize the kids who dont. The teens driving issues are not about age maturity as much as they are about making good choices and demonstrating exceptional behavior, whether they start driving at age 16, 17, or 18." I think teeanagers should wait until there 21 to start driving. The rule should be changed. But teenagers should get there permit at age 16 or 18 because I believe that unless were not living with our parents and without a curfew, were still kids and make stupid mistakes and were still learning from them. But if we didnt have any age limit I would say that people should start driving when they are ready and now what there doing and understand the rules of driving.

In "Dolphin bites girl, 8, at Sea World" the Associated press talks about what happened at seaworld with an 8 year old. An 8 year old was bitten by a dolphin while holding the dolphin food in the air. Jillian Thomas, the 8 year old said, "When the dolphin saw that, it leaped at me, and bit me, ate the carton." She had three wounds to her hand. Jillian father Jamie Thomas said, " They asked if she wanted first aid, and i said 'she's bleeding' so yes we want a first aid." Jillian parents posted the video on Youtube, so other children parents can take a look and see if Seaworld is safe. The Seaworld official were brought into this and said, "Educators and animal care staff are always on-site at this area, monitoring all interactions and are commited to guests safety." "Educators and animal care staff were at the attraction when this happened and immediately connected with the family. In addition, a member of our health services team was in the area at Dolphin Cove and quickly responded and treated the young girl." I think this was very serious and something worse could've happened. Luckily it was only a bite. But now they know that they have to be more careful and put more staff at that area or put up a warning sign. They also should give out rules and directions before they let the kids feed the dolphin, are tell them not to get to close to the water. They also should have am age limit. Maybe 10 and up.
