will climate change get some respect now

In “Will Climate Change Get Some Respect Now?” Nicholas D. Kristof points out that storms or droughts can’t be credited to climate change. Also Nicholas Kristof explains how Obama and Mitt Romney are not interested on the climate change in their campaigns. Scientists believe that the cause of Hurricane Sandy and other extreme weather are because of the rising carbon emissions. William Solecki, the co-chairman of New York City Panel on climate change said, “You can’t say any one single event is reflective of climate change.” “We have a 100-year flood every two years now,” said Governor Andrew Cuomo of New York who told President Obama. Kristof  explains some reasons why we have extreme weather. For examples he says, “Hurricanes from when the ocean is warm, and that the warmth is their fuel." Also he explains that computer models suggested that hurricanes cant nesscessarily become more frequent, but they can become stronger. "For the extreme hot weather of the recent past, there is virtually no explanation other than climate change," said James E.Hanson, a NASA climate scientist. Through 2009 to 2011 "the number of articles on climate change fell at 41 pecent," according to DailyClimate.org. I dont think they should have used Obama and Mitt Romney campaign to talk about climate change. I do think its important that we need to know whats going on about climate change.

  1. Again, you've got plenty of quotes from teh article and very little of your own thoughts and opinions about this issue. See parts 3 and 4 of the blog post format for examples of what I am looking for. 70
